Grand Reception Hall
A spacious reception hall designed for celebration
When couples enter the Grand Reception Hall, they are immediately hit with the sheer openness and 20 foot ceilings. Being a wedding venue near Raleigh, but still in the countryside, gave us the ability to provide our couples with a truly wide open reception space. This immense feeling of space elevates the Hall to a level of luxury the clients never expect before seeing the venue in person. The Grand Reception Hall, with its shiplapped walls and elegant gold lighting fixtures provide the perfect backdrop for your celebration. The interior design of the building combes rustic design elements with floral wall papers and gold accents to create a harmonious juxtaposition for our indoor reception space as a modern barn wedding venue. It’s rustic and it’s luxury, all at once.
The Grand Reception Hall includes all of the elements needed to make a gorgeous reception. Inside the Hall are the main guest table spaces with room for a dance floor, space for a buffet line, a stage area for the DJ or band, and two bathrooms with their own foyer. Our clients and their caterers also love our bar and warming kitchen area as we have provided plenty of space for them to prepare as well as commercial equipment, including a large ice machine and warmer.

The 4,000 square feet of space provides our clients room to be creative with their table layouts, and it can even serve as both the ceremony and reception site in the case of bad weather with high winds. Guest tables, Djs, the band, the buffet line and bar all fit perfectly in the Grand Reception Hall, and we work diligently with your planner to ensure everything is laid out with the best possible flow.

The Covered Pavilion
A Beautiful Outdoor Gathering Space
The Pavilion is steps off the side of the Grand Reception Hall. The strong, wooden ceilings contrast with the natural, peaceful grounds that surround it. The Covered Pavilion is a magical space for your outdoor wedding ceremony providing picturesque landscaping, a fluid guest flow, and protection from the sun and rain. The covered pavilion at Sueños offers the beauty of being outdoors, while still protecting your guests from the sun and rain. As a wedding venue that offers outdoor ceremony space, we wanted to incorporate beautiful landscaping into your event so that you and your guests feel wrapped in nature.
As you enter our covered pavilion, you are surrounded by the garden greenery and twinkling bistro lights. Your guests can enjoy music from the DJ or a string quartet as they mingle, waiting for the arrival of the wedding party. Once the ceremony begins, guests can be seated in our elegant, white ceremony chairs. The altar sits at the end of the pavilion, framed by our beautiful Capilla. Photos of the couple will be beautifully framed by the Capilla in the background as they make their way to the altar site with the wedding party. In the summer months, hydrangeas and lavender come to life to enhance the charm of the altar scene. For decor, couples often place floral arrangements at the beginning of the aisle, and either place an arch or another set of tall florals at the altar site. To decorate the long aisle, couples can utilize ribbons, or florals hanging on the side of chairs, and use lower arrangements on the floor next to the chairs. The pavilion is lit by romantic bistro lights and complimented by fans to keep your guests cool during hotter ceremonies. The Pavilion has also been set up with a outdoor speaker system to facilitate the musical atmosphere of the ceremony.
The Covered Pavilion should not be limited to only the ceremony! The Pavilion is a beautiful space as well for an outdoor reception! Dining tables can be set with florals, and twinkling candles, so you can enjoy the beauty of the gardens the entire evening.
Rain Backup for Peace of Mind
The idea of rain on your wedding day is not a pleasant one. Thankfully, under the Pavilion, we have a covered space that can handle the light to moderate rain and snow. We have had several ceremonies in a drizzle and all have gone off without a hitch. For these weddings, the rain became a sign of good luck instead of a huge stressor. To adjust for the rain, we move the ceremony chairs in just a bit and ensure that winds won’t be an issue. So long as wind is not high, The Pavilion is still a gorgeous place for a ceremony. And even better, those rain clouds will provide the perfect soft, diffused lighting for your photos.

The Garden Courtyard
The Garden Courtyard is an elegant space to entertain guests for cocktail hour, the ceremony, or even the full reception. The Garden Courtyard is surrounded by beautiful flowers, trees, and expansive grounds to create a peaceful site. In these gardens, hydrangeas and roses will truly steal the show in the spring and summer, followed by the muhly grasses in the fall showing off their pink feathery stalks. The Courtyard is lit by moody bistro lights and centered with a gazebo that can be left for a photo opportunity, a grazing table, or bar. The paved lawn allows couples to set up a variety of table layouts, lawn games, and vendors, while enjoying the beauty of the outdoors.
Cocktail Hour Under the Bistro Lights
The most popular use of the Garden Courtyard is for cocktail hour. After the ceremony under the Pavilion, guests naturally flow into the courtyard, exploring the garden area. Grazing tables can be placed throughout the space or even under the Gazebo. A section for lawn games can be set up for kids and adults alike. Additional vendors have plenty of room to set up leaving lots of options for creativity in the layout. The courtyard is also surrounded by an outdoor speaker system, so the only thing your DJ has to do is plug in and play. As the sun sets, your guests will be able to enjoy our gorgeous sunsets first hand and take stunning photos.

The Courtyard is also a beautiful location for an outdoor reception where guests can enjoy the entire evening of dining and dancing surrounded by gardens and twinkling lights. Being directly adjacent to the Pavilion both guests and vendors have plenty of space to set up and create a magical evening for the guests.
The Bridal Cottage
The completely private bridal cottage is a two bedroom, two bathroom cottage, perfect for the bridal party to have breakfast, do hair and makeup, and relax in between taking all of the pre-ceremony photos. Couples love the Bridal Cottage because it gives them plenty of space to truly enjoy the entire day getting ready and even provides beautiful photo opportunities for the bridal party. The bridal cottage boasts two living areas, a full kitchen as well as the two bedrooms and bathrooms. The shiplapped walls carry our theme of the modern barn feel, while integrating luxurious textured upholstery and floral fabrics to bring you a truly unique getting ready room. Every aspect of the design is cozy, while still keeping an air of luxury.

A Relaxing Place to Get Ready
Your guests will love the ample space to spread out and do hair and makeup for the big day. The primary bathroom even has a stand alone tub, if you’d like to make your day extra relaxing. The Bridal Cottage is secured by a keypad lock to ensure that only you and your closest guests can access the cottage during the event. If any guest needs a quiet moment away from the festivities, they can rest in the cottage as well.
The Studio Cottage
The Studio Cottage is the perfect place for the groom or those who do not need all the space required for hair and makeup. The Studio Cottage boasts a living room area, TV, kitchenette and full bathroom with space to change into the outfit for the big day. Our couples love this space because it provides the groom with a space completely his own to prepare, relax, and enjoy every aspect of the day. Watch TV, have a bite to eat, and take a breath before stepping out to greet the guests. Even take a moment to play a bit of soccer before getting ready!

Comfort Before the Ceremony
The groom deserves his own space to get ready and relax with the members of his bridal party. He has his own space, room to have snacks and enjoy the moments leading up to the ceremony. His groomsmen can join him in the cottage to enjoy the day as well. This is one of our main advantages here at Suenos that we can provide separate getting ready spaces for each member of the couple. The Grooms Cottage is also designed with the same rustic, luxury as the Grand Reception Hall and the Bridal Cottage.
The Capilla
For our couples wanting an outdoor ceremony, the Capilla is the perfect backdrop sitting directly behind the altar area. The Capilla is designed to resemble the larger Catholic churches of Mexico, but in miniature. The beautifully landscaped path leading up to the Capilla, provides a soft background to the nuptials. Stepping into the Capilla you will find a lovingly decorated Catholic chapel. Couples can leave the Capilla doors open during the ceremony, or close the large iron doors and embrace the timeless architecture. The Capilla also provides unique photo areas. You can take sweet intimate photos inside, or creative dynamic photos just outside.

How Your Wedding Day Flows Through the Property
To have a space to connect with family and friends is a treasure, and we are here to help you accomplish that mission in the most seamless way possible.
Getting Ready: Couples can begin their day, as soon as their rental time begins, using our two cottages designed to provide the space you need to get ready, have a bite to eat and prepare for wedding photos. Our cottages are big enough to provide the entire wedding party a space to relax and soak in the moments before the ceremony.
Ceremony: The ceremony usually takes place under the pavillion or around the gazebo in the courtyard. Both locations provide a picturesque backdrop for the ceremony site and provide plenty of space for you to customize your chair layout.
Cocktail hour: After the ceremony, the guests can flow naturally towards the courtyard or covered patio for drinks and snacks while the music plays in the background. Take this opportunity to serve unique finger food and provide your guests with fun activities. The couple and wedding party can also use this time to take photos and soak in the moment of just being married.
Reception: Once cocktail hour winds down, the couple can open the reception hall to their guests and everyone can find their seat. Dinner and dancing will be soon to come and the party can commence.
Sunset photos: While the guests are being entertained at the reception, the couple can take a moment around sunset to take stunning golden hour photos. Being outside of Raleigh on private property, means that we have the most beautiful and intense sunsets we have ever seen. Don’t forget to put this on your timeline!
Send-off: At the end of the night embrace your unique send-off vision and wrap up the evening with a beautiful photo session in front of the reception hall or in the courtyard. Do it with sparklers, a vintage car, or whatever makes your event unique to you.
